You pay for the work the service does: pages kept searchable, pages crawled, searches served, and optional AI answers. A small monthly minimum charge applies only when usage would otherwise fall below it. A large popular site should not be pushed into a fixed plan just because it grew.

How much setup work is there?
Start with one URL. We crawl the public pages, prepare the first index, and give you an embed so you do not need to push content into a search API.
Can it search PDFs?
Yes. PDFs are part of the intended crawl-and-index flow, so useful documents can show up alongside pages.
What happens if my site is quiet?
Pricing is designed around visible usage and hard caps. A quiet site should not pay like a busy one, and optional AI answers stay separate and capped too.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Each new account starts with €5 of free credit that can be spent on eligible sites. Enough to see whether Winnow is a good fit for your site.
How does payment work?
Winnow Search is planned around a pre-paid balance. You can add funds manually, and optionally enable automatic top-ups so search keeps working without turning billing into an open-ended surprise. If a site has no credit, it is deactivated after one month and its indexed pages are removed.
Should I use Winnow Search for Squarespace?

Can one account have multiple sites?
